Built in 1991 with $5 million from the Saudi Embassy, Dar al-Hijrah (hijrah.org) employed Imam Anwar Awlaki as its prayer leader from 2000 to 2002. Awlaki, aka Aulaqi, counseled two of the 9/11 hijackers in closed-door meetings, and is believed to have played a central role in the plot. The fugitive al-Qaida leader is now hiding in Yemen.
He also radicalized Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, Christmas Day airline bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and, most recently, Times Square car bomber Faisal Shahzad.
The U.S. last month designated Awlaki a "key leader of al-Qaida"
Founder of hijackers' D.C. worship center partners with N.Y. imam pushing shariah

The New York imam behind the Ground Zero mosque has struck a partnership with the founder of the so-called 9/11 mosque in the Washington suburbs that gave aid and comfort to some of the 9/11 hijackers, WND has learned.
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf counts the lead trustee of the Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center among partners in his Cordoba Initiative, which features a 13-story mosque and a "cultural center" for his project to bring shariah, or Islamic law, to America.
Families of 9/11 victims oppose construction of the proposed site so close to Ground Zero.
Jamal Barzinji, one of the founders of the radical Muslim Brotherhood in America, also founded Dar al-Hijrah in Falls Church, Va., which is run by the pro-jihad Brotherhood. The mosque has been tied to numerous terrorism plots, including the 9/11 attacks...

Off Shore Drilling in Brazil
Today on a segment of the "Glen Beck Show" on FOX (Fox Cable News) was the following: "Today, even though Barack Hussein Obama is against off shore drilling for our country, he signed an executive order to loan 2 Billion of our taxpayers dollars to a Brazilian Oil Exploration Company (which is the 8th largest company in the entire world) to drill for oil off the coast of Brazil ! The oil that comes from this operation is for the sole purpose and use of China and NOT THE USA !
Now here's the real clincher...the Chinese government is under contract to purchase all the oil that this oil field will produce, which is hundreds of millions of barrels of oil". We have absolutely no gain from this transaction whatsoever! Wait, it gets more interesting.
Guess who is the largest individual stockholder of this Brazilian Oil Company and who would benefit most from this? It is American BILLIONAIRE, George Soros, who was one of Obama's most generous financial supporter during his campaign.
If you are able to connect the dots and follow the money, you are probably as upset as I am. Not a word of this transaction was broadcast on any of the other news networks!
Forward this factual e-mail to others who care about this country and where it is going.
Also, let all of your Government representatives know how you feel about this.

'Peaceful' Muslims following Quran's dictate to establish 'global Islamic state'
Posted: August 25, 2010
By Art Moore
As the son of a Hamas co-founder who became a Christian, a spy for Israel and a consultant to the Holy Land Foundation terror-finance trial, Mosab Hassan Yousef offers a rare perspective on the Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood – at one time the spawn of nearly every major Islamic terrorist group and of "mainstream" operatives in the U.S. such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Yousef, who recently was granted asylum in the U.S. after the Department of Homeland Security tried to deport him, told WND in a telephone interview Americans must understand that the ultimate goal of the highly influential Brotherhood is not terrorism but to establish a global Islamic state over the entire world.
"If they can establish this in a peaceful manner, that's fine," he said. "But they are required by the Quran to establish this global Islamic state on the rubble of every civilization, every constitution, every government."
The Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas in 2008 – the largest terror-finance case in U.S. history – presented evidence of the Muslim Brotherhood's "100-year plan" to gradually destroy the U.S. and Western civilization from within "so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions."
"This is not a doctrine of some freak Muslim," Yousef observed. "It's the doctrine, the requirement, of the god of Islam himself and his prophet, whom they praise every day."

Obama Muslim Affairs Advisor Is An Islamic Ideologue And Loves Sharia Law
10. Jun, 2010
By GJ Merits
When President Obama spoke to the Muslim world in Cairo last June, a large portion of his guests were leaders and members of the Muslim Brotherhood. The speech was designed to please them more than supporting the reformist movement in Egypt and across the Muslim world.
The Obama administration has hired the first White House Muslim advisor, Dalia Mogahed, who helped with writing Obama’s speech. Mogahed is herself an Islamic ideologue who supports Islamic Sharia and denies any connection between radical Islam and terrorism. Mogahed, who was born in Egypt, has also been a firm defender of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Both of these US groups are tied to the Muslim Brotherhood.
As an American of Egyptian origin myself, I can tell who is a reformist and who is a radical Muslim sympathizer, and I do not think that Ms. Mogahed’s views are in any way supportive of a reformation in Islam or of its concept of jihad...

The US decision to pull out its last combat troops will not be met by a sigh of relief in Iraq. In fact, it might lead to the country’s permanent division into three entities, one Shia, one Sunni and one Kurdish.
Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan and Turkey are deeply involved in Iraq’s affairs, preventing the establishment of a strong government at a time when the United States appears no longer interested in the country’s fate. An Iraqi intellectual vents his frustrations.
As the Americans go home, Iraqis get ready for civil war and the country’s division
Baghdad (AsiaNews) – After seven years of war, the last US combat troops are leaving Iraq. This, apparently, brings to an end operation “Iraqi freedom”. However, if we look at how they are pulling out, it would seem the Americans do not care whether Iraq has any freedom or not. In the country, meanwhile, everyone expects it to plunge into civil war and break up.
For the past six months, Iraqi leaders have failed to form a new government. Iraq’s neighbours, especially Iran, Saudi Arabia and Syria, are increasingly meddling in its affairs, exerting undue influence on the country’s leaders. One of them, Prime Minister al-Maliki, said yesterday that his successor has to be Shia. However, talks on a national unity government are at a standstill....

Rush Limbaugh: When Bush talked about the desire of every human being to be free, that that's part of our creation, remember how they cringed? The same media that now apparently so love and respect Christianity that they are damn well convinced that Obama is one, and they are damn well persuaded that we've gotta believe it. But Bush's Christianity? They didn't like it, and they don't like right-wing Christianity. They don't like Pat Robertson and they don't like Billy Graham and they don't like Jerry Falwell. They don't like Billy Sol Hargus or Billy James, whatever it was. They don't like NASCAR Christianity. They don't like Christianity that talks about pro-life. They hate it! The ruling class doesn't want to get anywhere near it.
Now all of a sudden it is crucial that we understand Obama's a Christian because it's important to him. But we didn't have to ask it about FDR, we didn't have to ask it about Clinton, we didn't have to ask it about George W. Bush. Nobody asked Burton, "Okay, he's got all these religious advisors. Does he listen to them? Does he listen to their message?" because he said he never listened to Reverend Wright. He can't tell you what Reverend Wright ever said when he was a member of that church for 20 years. Did you know that Reverend Wright used to be a Muslim? Did you know that? You might have known that and forgotten it, but Reverend Wright used to be a Muslim and now he's a black liberation theologist. Which is some sort of Christianity, but he used to be Muslim.
So nothing is "obvious" about Obama's Christianity, Mr. Burton, and the telltale sign is that you even have to say it. We're polling it! You see, Obama's Christianity is the opposite of obvious. "What do you mean by that, Limbaugh? What do you mean! How can you sit there and say 'Obama's Christianity is the opposite of obvious'?" Well, glad you asked. Let me 'splain it. He has a Muslim name: "Barack Hussein Obama." He had a Muslim father and an extended Muslim family in Kenya. He was partly raised and educated in Indonesia by a Muslim stepfather. He has Muslim half-sisters and brothers, one of whom continues to reside in a three-by-five-foot hut in Kenya. His mother was a self-proclaimed and unaffiliated atheist. Obama professed no religion and belonged to no church until he joined Reverend Wright's Trinity Church in Chicago.
He did this in his late twenties and his mentor there, the estimable Reverend Jeremiah Wright, was a Muslim who converted to black liberation theology, which is a highly exotic (let's be politic here) highly exotic form of Christianity in the American, even black American, context. It's pretty exotic. Obama's great literary intellectual role model was Malcolm X. One of Obama's religious advisors is a Chicago Muslim, Eboo Patel. Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf (or "Ruuf," however he pronounces the last name) the controversial Muslim leader behind the plan to build the Islamic Center and mosque a couple blocks from Ground Zero wrote the afterward to Eboo Patel's 2006 book: Building the Interfaith Youth Movement: Beyond Dialogue to Action.
So the Ground Zero mosque imam wrote the afterward to Obama's religious advisor's book. The religious advisor is a Muslim. So, Mr. Burton, Obama's Christianity is the opposite of obvious. You have to dig deep here to find it. Now, having said all that, none of what I have said means that Obama's a Muslim and none of it means that Obama's not a sincere Christian. If he's going to say that he is, fine. We will accept that he's a Christian. I still find it amazing we're polling it.
And I have to laugh. Have you seen the latest examples of the media trying to convince us that he's not a Muslim? Pictures of the beer summit! Pictures of Obama with a brewski. "See! He can't be a Muslim; he's drinking beer. You know Muslim don't approve of alcohol." They're going to great lengths. But he's not "obviously" a Christian. We have to take that on (ahem) faith, if I may use the word. We have to accept his Christianity on faith, to believe that he's telling us the truth because his Christianity is not obvious by any intellectually coherent definition of the word. (interruption) Well, no... The reason why some people are confused is Obama has spent 20 years listening to a racist, bigoted preacher who has a special place in his heart for the Nation of Islam who used to be a Muslim. It's not obvious, Mr. Burton, that your guy is a Christian...

Thomas Jefferson and the Ground Zero Mosque

What did Jefferson learn from his study of the Koran? As early as 1786, Jefferson, who was serving as the ambassador to France, and John Adams, the Ambassador to Britain, met in London with Ambassador Abdrahaman, the Dey of Tripoli’s ambassador to Britain, in an attempt to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress’ vote of funding. Peace would come at a price. If America wanted “temporary peace,” a one-year guarantee, it would cost $66,000 plus a 10% commission. “Everlasting peace” was a bargain at $160,000 plus the obligatory commission. This only applied to Tripoli. Other Muslim nations would also have to be paid. The amount came to $1.3 million. But there was no assurance that the treaties would be honored. In vain Jefferson and Adams tried to argue that America was not at war with Tripoli. In what way had the U.S provoked the Muslims, they asked? Ambassador Abdrahaman went on to explain “the finer points of Islamic jihad” to the Koranically challenged Jefferson and Adams. In a letter to John Jay, Jefferson wrote the following:
The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman [Muslim] who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.[7]

One reader, Amil Imani, comments: Wherever Sharia law rules, injustice prevails... It is indeed blind to justice.
Part of the genius of Islam is the totality of Sharia, which includes a concept of war that attacks the host civilization at every aspect of its being. In modern times, the military power of Islam is weak, but this is more than compensated by its ability to attack along legal and cultural lines under the guise of being a religion.
Civilizational War

The Civilization of Islam
One of the clearest lessons about Islam is found in the Sharia. The largest part of the Sharia is devoted to regulating the life of Muslims down to the smallest detail. There is no aspect of life that is not regulated -- sex, food, art, business, education, prayer, manners, speech, and how to think and not to think. There is no aspect of life that is outside the power of Sharia -- religion, politics, ethics, and culture are included. The Sharia is the operating manual for a complete civilization. Islam is complete within itself and needs nothing from the outside.
The Sharia has one other quality that is as important as the totality of its scope. The civilization of Sharia is not just different from our civilization -- it contradicts our civilization.
Inside Islam, justice, religion, politics, law, human rights, and compassion do not mean what they mean to us. All of these ideas are based on the principles of submission and duality as found in the Sharia.
Our Civilization
Our civilization is based on the principles of the Golden Rule and critical thought. We do not always fulfill the principles, but they are the ideals we strive for, and they can be used for debate and self-criticism to correct and improve our culture.
Our principles lead to the ideals of critical thought, self-criticism, equality of all peoples before the law, freedom of thought and ideas, freedom of religion, public debate, separation of church and state, liberal democracy, and a free-ranging humor...

Arab TV chief: 9/11 mosque would be 'monument' to terror
Says world's Muslims don't want to give hijackers 'source of pride'

The director of a Dubai-based, Arab television network writes that most of the world's Muslims couldn't care less about building a mosque near Ground Zero and that plans to do so would only create a "monument" to terrorists.
Abd Al-Rahman Al-Rashed, director-general of Al-Arabiya TV, wrote a column in the Aug. 16 London daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat arguing that President Obama was wasting his time championing construction of the proposed mosque, which Al-Rashed says the majority of world's Muslims don't want anyway.
"I can't imagine that Muslims [actually] want a mosque at this particular location, because it will become an arena for the promoters of hatred, and a monument to those who committed the crime," writes Al-Rashed in the column, which was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute. "Moreover, there are no practicing Muslims in the area who need a place to worship, because it is a commercial district. Is there anyone who is [really] eager [to build] this mosque?"
He adds, "I do not think that the majority of Muslims want to build a monument or a place of worship that tomorrow may become a source of pride for the terrorists and their Muslim followers, nor do they want a mosque that will become a shrine for the haters of Islam."

Finding John Galt
Henry Oliner
August 16, 2010
John Galt is the mysterious hero lurking in the background in Ayn Rand's infamous novel, Atlas Shrugged. He is the industrialist who went into hiding and led a strike of producers fed up with the physical and moral encroachment from a government of moral supremacists who rationalized theft with childish notions of fairness but no conception of the actual production of wealth. That synopsis should also explain why Atlas Shrugged, first published in 1957, is having a very strong resurgence in popularity.
I meet with two different groups of independent business owners focused in the southeast and their perception of current business conditions is almost unanimous. They are angry. They face conflicting and unclear regulations, and a near certainty of increasing taxes . They are impatient. Many are not profitable and are unable and unwilling to tolerate customers who cannot pay, employees who do not think, banks without judgment, and a government that despises their efforts to create wealth and jobs.
Unlike John Galt, they have not abandoned their factories and homes and headed to Colorado, but they have reduced expenses, laid off workers, and rejected growth because of the added risk. They have conserved cash because banks are not willing to lend and government is too willing to take.
Elected official have won their positions from the popular vote, but they have neglected the other votes.
We vote with our wallets. We do not want to buy what they want to sell. We will not invest if taxes on investment returns are too high. We will not start and expand businesses if you tax and regulate them into money losers.
We vote with our feet. We leave high tax states and moves to low tax states. Company close plants in unreceptive countries and move to receptive countries. We exit highly regulated industries and move capital into businesses with more certainty and flexibility.
But we also vote with our hearts. With government pay double that of the private sector, with a torrent of legislation killing small businesses, with crony capitalism replacing main street capitalism, and with an endless and clear stream of propaganda from the bully pulpit, the message is clear- the private sector is for suckers. Starting businesses, creating new products, jobs, and funding schools, hospitals and the arts are all good things and our government is making it increasingly harder to accomplish. This is why corporations are sitting on top of trillions of dollars in cash. Because of the insanity currently posing as legislation and policy, their hearts are not in it.
They have ‘gone Galt'. They have dropped out of the producer ranks, not totally like Ayn Rand's hero, but in parts. They work less, retire early, and conserve resources because they do not trust their government.
I found John Galt in the mirror and I found John Galts sharing their fears and frustrations around the tables at meeting rooms and restaurants. They are dropping out in whatever little ways they can.
I'll bet you found him too.

Mindless sycophancy of Obama groupies aside, what gives his admirers the reason to believe in the incomparable intellectual faculties of their idol?
Just How Smart Is Obama?
Victor Volsky
americanthinker
8.18.10
The meteoric rise to the presidency of Barack Obama was fueled in no small part by the widely accepted contention that he was one of the smartest men ever to seek the Oval Office. He is not the first leader to be oversold.
"As far as Saddam Hussein being a great military strategist, he is neither a strategist, nor is he schooled in the operational art, nor is he a tactician, nor is he a general, nor is he a soldier. Other than that he's a great military man -- I want you to know that."
It is an article of faith among the mainstream media, even on the squishy right (Bill O'Reilly comes to mind), to start any discussion of the 44th President with a ritual expression of utter amazement at his enormous brain power.
This immortal witticism of Gen. Normal Schwarzkopf ,after a lightning 1991 campaign that cut to pieces the Iraqi dictator's vaunted army, resonates with me each time I read or hear any discussion of President Obama.
Does Obama deserve his reputation? Not really -- unless of course, a "perfectly creased pant" is a true metric of rapier wit and towering intellect, as David Brooks seems to think. One can certainly take such things on faith merely on the basis of credentials: the right university, the right profession, the right crowd. Columbia and Harvard Law alum -- what other proof is needed that the accomplisher of such lofty achievements must be right up there with the Einsteins of the world? Assumptions of this sort could cause one acute embarrassment, such as the one experienced by the historian Michael Beschloss at the hands of Don Imus. Beschloss was extolling Obama's "sky-high IQ," but just as he was hitting his stride, the host interrupted his guest's rapture: "So what's his IQ?" The historian had to sheepishly admit that he didn't know.
But mindless sycophancy of Obama groupies aside, what gives his admirers the reason to believe in the incomparable intellectual faculties of their idol? An ability to more or less fluently read a prepared text? But each time he drops the life buoy of the teleprompter and ventures to go unscripted, Obama stumbles and mumbles in search of words, launching an avalanche of "uhs" and more likely than not putting his foot into his mouth. Watching him on such excursions into the terrifying world of improvisation, anyone can see that Obama would be wise to take a few speech lessons from purported lowbrow Sarah Palin. Are his glaringly poor off-the-cuff skills evidence of great intelligence?
How about his endless gaffes? Like "I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go." - Obama 2008 campaign event, Beaverton, OR (Perhaps it was a Freudian slip, considering that there is indeed an entity consisting of 57 states -- it's called the Organization of the Islamic Conference.)Or the "Austrian" language which Obama believes is spoken in Austria? Or "In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died - an entire town destroyed." - 2007 campaign speech on a Kansas tornado that killed 12 people Or as he said in this year's Ramadan greeting, "Islam has always been part of America and ... American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions to our country." What country was he talking about? Or this pearl: "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong." An occasional slip of the tongue is an accident. A habit of dumb misstatements is evidence of laziness and lack of mental discipline, of the tongue just wagging uncontrollably. Is it evidence of Obama's intellectual superiority?
What about his propensity to jump feet-first before thinking and let the devil take the hindmost? Like accusing the Cambridge, MA police of stupidity in the Skip Gates incident, while freely admitting that he actually didn't know the circumstances of the case? Or getting into the Manhattan mosque controversy -- how's that for political acumen? Does it take a genius to figure out that coming down on the unpopular side of the issue, contrary to the will of nearly 70 percent of the American people, would be a major political blunder, particularly with the midterm elections just around the corner? Liberal pundits heaped praise on the president for his courage and steadfast adherence to principle. Why, then, did he hastily backtrack the very next day? Hardly a profile in courage is it. So what was it? Apparently an infantile, ideologically driven whim: I want it! I need it! And a hasty retreat as soon as the utterly predictable explosion ensued. A political genius?
How hard was it to predict that endless golf-cum-basketball outings, musical soirées at the White House, and vacation upon vacation in posh spots, culminating in Michelle's Spanish junket and a forthcoming stay in the elitist retreat of Martha's Vineyard, would be a major irritant to the people hard-hit by the recession or an undermining influence on the president's popularity? A callous disregard for the proles? Obviously. But how astute is it? Not very, for in-your-face arrogance has never been a mark of intelligence.
Add to this Obama's obvious economic ignorance, his glaring naiveté in international affairs, his boundless faith in the power of his oratory, his intellectual laziness, his intrinsic indecisiveness smacking of childish belief in the power of wish (close your eyes and the bad stuff will just go away), his political tin-ear -- are these the attributes of a genius? Sorry, Obama fans, what it all adds up to is an immature narcissist, an utterly inexperienced tyro, devoid of administrative ability, lacking political skills...a radical ideologue, who apparently believes that the job of president boils down to an incessant gabfest.
So with compliments to General Schwarzkopf: As far as Barack Obama being smart as a whip goes, he has no clue in economics, nor has he any understanding of foreign policy; he is supremely arrogant and doesn't care if it rubs people the wrong way; he has few political skills and no administrative ability, nor does he have any desire to engage in the day-to-day drudgery of ruling, preferring to reign instead; and he revels in the luxury of presidential perks and delights in flaunting his excess. Other than that, he is a true genius.

In another step forward towards the Islamification of America, a Santa Clara Mosque has been given the OK to put up a sign of Islamic dominance, in a 64 Ft minaret. The Muslim Community Association runs the Mosque, and it sure would have been nice if the people of the community, would have taken the time to gather some back round information on them. From the MCA “constitution”…
Whereas we, the Muslims of the San Francisco Bay area, recognize Islam as a total way of life and have pledged to endeavor practicing it as such, we do hereby adopt and give to ourselves this constitution which is formulated in accordance with Quran and Sunnah, and pledge to abide by its provisions, Insha’Allah.

Back in the New York Grove: My First Encounter With Muslims in NY
loganswarning.com
July 27, 2010
By admin
After several years in another state, I am finally back where I belong and that is NY. One of the main reasons that I moved back is that there is always some kind of political actively going on. I figured what better place to take on Islam, than NY? It took awhile to settle in, but it did not take too long to have an encounter with some Muslims in the city. About a week ago, I was in a friend’s establishment and it was closing time. I was talking to an employee of the place about the threat of Islam, and noticed two guys sitting about 6 feet away. I asked the employee who they were, and he said they are just some workers from a restaurant across the street. So I continued with the conversation.
A minute or so later the employee had to go do some work and walked away. As soon as he did, the two men sitting at the table approached me. The first said that they had overheard my conversation about Islam and wanted to know why I was talking about it? What is my concern? I responded by asking who they are, and where there were from. The leader of the two said we are from Egypt. At that point I was hoping they were Coptics and could be added to our team. He then said they are Muslims and they want to know why I am so concerned and speaking that way about Islam? I stated that Muslims are on a worldwide Sharia movement, which is a major threat to life as I know it and I will continue to speak out against Islam. It is a different way of life, than Western Civilization. He wanted to respond but could not think of anything to say to try and counter this fact.
At this point he looked even unhappier than when he originally approached me. First he tried to discredit me, and asked where I studied Islam. I said that I have approximately eight years of study on this issue, and have read the Koran translated by Islamic scholar Yusuf Ali, the Bukhari and Muslim ahadith, and the the Reliance of the Traveller, which is an Islamic Law manual approved by Al Azhar, the world’s highest Islamic learning school. The two of them just turned to each other, and didn’t know what to say. This really threw them off, because Al Azhar is in Egypt. Just me knowing about the school was obviously unexpected by them. He then tried to separate the hadiths from Islam, and stated something to the effect that some of them are unreliable. So I asked the other one if the Bukhari and Muslim ahadith are respected across the Islamic world? He said they sure were.
Since that did not work he tried to go into a Q & A with me on Islam. First he asked how many times a day do they pray? So I answered five, and jumped ahead of him and told him the five pillars of Islam. Taking the faith, prayers, zakat (charity), fasting, and hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca.) He said alright…alright….Then I said there is something else called jizya (extortion), which I will never pay. The second Muslim who was silent up to now, said what is the difference you are paying taxes anyway? I told him no one is going to force me to pay a religious tax, in exchange for second class citizenship. He walked away, I told them they might as well quit now, as I probably know more about Islam than they do.
The Muslim that first approached me did not walk away though. He was not too happy, and once again asked what is my concern, and where was I from? That there is no way an American would be concerned with such things. I said he was partially correct, that most Americans do not pay attention to the threat of Islam. Then I quoted the leader of Hezbollah.
Hassan Nasrallah: “The American administration is behind Israel. I must clarify that when I say ‘America’ I do not mean the American people, most of whom are distant and ignorant of what is going on in the world,….
Me knowing this quote threw him off as well. They are obviously counting on the fact that many Americans are ignorant, when it comes to Islam. After that he went back into his you are not an American rant, you have to be from the Middle East. I repeatedly told him I was not. I then asked the mostly silent Muslim if he was pro-Sharia. He responded, of course he was. I thanked him for his honesty, and said we have nothing to talk about. So I turned and asked the talkative one the same question. He said no, but was still asking what my concern is. My concern is that Islam is a complete way of life, and its laws affects non-Muslims. It is a religion and political ideology combined. The quiet one said it is not, and I laughed as I asked what the Caliph was. He said he never heard of it. He went on to say Islam is not religion and politics combined, but he knew I was not buying it, and here comes the comedic line of the night…. As he was getting all worked up, he angrily stated “We are Muslims and we do not lie”. Not wanting this to get out of hand in my friend’s place, I let that one slide.
I asked the other one if you went back to Egypt, and the Muslim Brotherhood imposed Sharia what would you guys do? He said they would fight it in the streets. When I brought up the fact that his friend already admitted he was pro-Sharia, he changed his tune and said Sharia is better than US law. So I said that he should move to Saudi Arabia, but in the mean time put down that beer you are drinking. He looked at the beer and absolutely shut up. He was drinking that night, but when push comes to shove he was obviously going to stand with Islam over Western Civilization. I then told them I had to go, and he said we will finish this tomorrow night. I showed up, but they did not. A few days later I ran into them again. The leader of the two was very respectful (not that I trust him), and did not bring up the conversation at all. The other who is pro-Sharia could not even look me in the eye. The point of my story is that if we do not stand up to them, they will walk all over us. They must be told that we know they are liars, we oppose their plans, and we will fight tooth and nail against their religion.
For the record, you will see a lot of more of these types of encounters from me in the future. They need to know that we are awakening!

August 5 Wall Street Journal editorial on ObamaCare said this:
Earlier this week, the Congressional Research Service reported that the new bureaucracy the bill created is so complex and indiscriminate that its size is "currently unknowable." Capitol Hill's independent policy arm added that among "the dozens of new governmental organizations or advisory bodies," it is "impossible to know how much influence they will ultimately have."

Recently, I received a rare visit from my brother-in-law. He is a smart guy, having graduated valedictorian of his high school class and currently running a successful business. Unfortunately, his politics run 180 degrees counter to mine, as he grew up in the socialist environment of his Swedish homeland...

Poor Lenin's Almanac: Perverse Leftists Proverbs for Modern Life
... The institutional stranglehold that the left has on American society is almost Orwellian in its breadth and intensity. Why would anyone in America willingly call himself a "conservative" when the left has so insidiously smeared conservatives with the failed leftist malignancies of National Socialism and Fascism? Conservatives, to the omnipresent organs of leftism, are like Dalits in India: untouchables, loathsome and despised. So the upper-caste leftists think nothing of privately joking about Rush Limbaugh in agony or gratuitously smearing Fred Barnes or Karl Rove as racists. Leftists are simply terrorists. Many closet conservatives, I suggest, are too frightened to be open and honest about what they believe...

... My contention is that Barack still woos his Muslim father in the persons of the Muslim rulers that share his bitterness, and that he bows down to. He cannot ease his dead father's sense of failure, but he can alleviate the Muslim Daddy's crushing sense of inferiority towards the west and Israel. Thus, he assigns his head of NASA, who should be planning all-out for Mars, the major task of repairing the fragile self-esteem of the Arab scientific community: they are to be assured of their major contribution to our space program...

MYFOXNY.COM - A federal judge put most of Arizona's tough immigration law on hold just hours before it was to take effect. That has fueled the ongoing debate about the United States' immigration policies as well as the Arizona law in particular.
The issue was discussed on Fox 5 News at 10 p.m. on July 28, 2010. The spirited and sometimes heated debate was between Peter Gadiel of the group 9/11 Families for a Secure America and Chung-Wha Hong, the executive director of the New York Immigration Coalition.
Gadiel got involved in immigration issues after he lost his son in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. He favors the Arizona law.
The New York Immigration Coalition is an umbrella organization made up of 200 groups throughout the state that work with immigrant and refugee communities. Hong opposes the Arizona law.
