Marshals, Cops Conduct Largest Fugitive Round Up in US History
Jim Kouri, CPP
November 6, 2006

Deputy United States Marshals teamed up with thousands of fellow federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to conduct the largest ever round up of fugitive sex-offenders, wanted gang members, and violent felony offenders, according to an indepth report submitted to the National Association of Chiefs of Police.
Dubbed “Operation FALCON III” (Federal And Local Cops Organized Nationally), Deputy Marshals and their fellow task force members arrested 10,773 felony fugitives, the largest operation of its kind in US history. This number includes 1,659 sex offenders and 364 documented gang members arrested nationwide.

The Rape of Europe
From the desk of
Paul Belien
Wed, 2006-10-25

The German author Henryk M. Broder recently told the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant (12 October) that young Europeans who love freedom, better emigrate. Europe as we know it will no longer exist 20 years from now. Whilst sitting on a terrace in Berlin, Broder pointed to the other customers and the passers-by and said melancholically: "We are watching the world of yesterday."
Europe is turning Muslim. As Broder is sixty years old he is not going to emigrate himself. "I am too old," he said. However, he urged young people to get out and "move to Australia or New Zealand. That is the only option they have if they want to avoid the plagues that will turn the old continent uninhabitable."
Many Germans and Dutch, apparently, did not wait for Broder’s advice. The number of emigrants leaving
the Netherlands and Germany has already surpassed the number of immigrants moving in. One does not have to be prophetic to predict, like Henryk Broder, that Europe is becoming Islamic. Just consider the demographics. The number of Muslims in contemporary Europe is estimated to be 50 million. It is expected to double in twenty years. By 2025, one third of all European children will be born to Muslim families. Today Mohammed is already the most popular name for new-born boys in Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and other major European cities.
**
Broder is convinced that the Europeans are not willing to oppose islamization. “The dominant ethos," he told De Volkskrant, "is perfectly voiced by the stupid blonde woman author with whom I recently debated. She said that it is sometimes better to let yourself be raped than to risk serious injuries while resisting. She said it is sometimes better to avoid fighting than run the risk of death."

"Interesting Opportunities"
Are amnesty and open borders in our future?
By Mark Krikorian

Before election night was even over, White House spokesman Tony Snow said the Democratic takeover of the House presented “interesting opportunities,” including a chance to pass “comprehensive immigration reform” — i.e., the president’s plan for an illegal-alien amnesty and enormous increases in legal immigration, which failed only because of House Republican opposition.
At his press conference Wednesday, the president repeated this sentiment, citing immigration as “vital issue … where I believe we can find some common ground with the Democrats.”
Will the president and the Democrats get their way with the new lineup next year?
Nope.
**
Any mass-amnesty and worker-importation scheme would take a while to get started, and its effects would begin showing up in the newspapers and in people’s workplaces right about the time the next election season gets under way. And despite the sophistries of open-borders lobbyists, Nancy Pelosi knows perfectly well that this would be bad news for those who supported it.

Tom Tancredo is not so optimistic...
Bush eyes Democrats for help on amnesty
By Stephen Dinan
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
November 9, 2006

President Bush yesterday said he will team up with Democrats to pass an immigration bill with a guest-worker program that his own party blocked this year, and his Republican opponents predicted a bloody intraparty fight but said they cannot stop such a bill from passing.
"We will fight it, we will lose. It will go to the Senate, it will pass. The president will sign it. And it will happen quickly because that's one thing they know they can pass," said Rep. Tom Tancredo, Colorado Republican and chairman of the House Immigration Reform Caucus, who had led the opposition to a guest-worker plan. "I am absolutely horrified by this prospect, but I have to face reality."

Congress Gets Muslim

The first Muslim elected to the United States Congress is a Democrat from Minneapolis with ties to an Islamic group that supports terrorism and a radical cult whose leader says God will destroy the entire white race and establish a paradise nation ruled by blacks.
Minnesota’s new Representative in the House, Keith Ellison, was endorsed and partly financed by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a massive U.S.-based organization that avidly defends Osama bin Laden and other militant Islamic terrorists and considers U.S. action against terrorists anti-Islamic. In fact, the group demanded the removal of a Los Angeles billboard describing bin Laden as “the sworn enemy” because it was “offensive to Muslims.”
Ellison, who converted to Islam as a 19-year-old college student, also has strong ties to the Nation of Islam, the black cult led by renowned anti-Christian and anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. The group’s doctrine states that black people created white people in a genetic experiment 6,000 years ago and that “Judgment Day” means that the Gods will destroy the entire white race (devils) and establish a paradise nation ruled forever by blacks.

Lou Dobbs' uplifting take on the election results - as usual, he's thinking of the American people first:
Dobbs: A big 'hallelujah' for American voters
POSTED: 9:48 a.m. EST, November 9, 2006
By
Lou DobbsCNN

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Hallelujah, brothers and sisters. I'm not even sure what "hallelujah" means, but the word just feels right after witnessing what is at the very least an awakening of the power of the people. I'm hopeful that November 7 was also a declaration that middle-class Americans won't be taken for granted by either political party.
This midterm election was a victory for the Democratic Party. Voters rejected the Republican Party out of hand and gave the House of Representatives to the Democrats. And it looks more and more likely they'll get the Senate too.
Voters chose to overturn our current one-party political structure and returned checks and balance to our government. November 7 also demonstrated that the American electorate is far more discerning and independent-minded than either political party or our elites would like to believe.
While the Democratic Party was the clear winner, I don't believe for even a moment that the Democrats' ideals prevailed over Republican ideals. Election Day was middle-class America's declaration of independence from a Republican-led administration and Congress that for six years has been telling working men and women and their families in this country to shut up, listen up and go to hell.
The middle class just returned the favor and demonstrated discernment while delivering their loud message to Washington, D.C.

IRAN'S KEYHAN
The victory of the Democrats in America's election was very good news, not because the Democrats are better than the Republicans, but because it will create tensions in the American system. When the Americans don't have problems inside their country, they create problems for other countries, so it is very good if they bite each other for a while.

Latin Americans Cheered by GOP Setback
By E. EDUARDO CASTILLOASSOCIATED PRESS

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexico City traffic officer Raul Cervantes couldn't remember the name of the Republican Party on Wednesday - all he knew was that President Bush had taken a beating and that was enough to make him happy.
Politicians, analysts and ordinary citizens across Latin America cheered the Democrats' takeover of Congress as roping in a president who went to war against Iraq, ignoring widespread world opposition to the invasion.
"When the people who make Bush's plans happen aren't around, we will be better off," said Cervantes, directing traffic on a major Mexico City avenue.
Most in the region agree that Washington's new political landscape will do little for their countries' agendas, such as Mexico's hope of stopping a border wall meant to stem illegal immigration.
And few believe the Democrats will push through a migration accord that would allow Latin Americans to more easily work legally in the U.S., or smooth relations with Latin America's growing camp of leftists, from Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez to Nicaragua's newly elected Daniel Ortega.

Still Red But Not Republican
by

It was almost the perfect television ad for a conservative candidate, hitting cultural issues certain to drive a wedge between Middle American voters and liberal Democrats.
"A lifetime of Hoosier values, a southwest Indiana native, Brad Ellsworth knows faith and family comes first," said the narrator.
**
The ad never revealed the party to which Ellsworth belonged, but its culturally conservative message would surely burn the ears of any good San Francisco Democrat.
On Tuesday, Ellsworth defeated Rep. John Hostettler, the Indiana Republican. His victory helped Nancy Pelosi's Democrats take a majority in the House of Representatives. Ellsworth was not the only Democratic challenger who defeated a Republican incumbent by running right on cultural issues.
Democrat Joe Donnelly defeated Rep. Chris Chocola, another Indiana Republican, the same way.
**
In North Carolina, former NFL quarterback Heath Shuler ran a similar campaign to defeat Republican Rep. Charles Taylor. Shuler shouted out his support for the Second Amendment and his opposition to the Supreme Court's infamous Kelo v. New London decision
**
Shuler said.Like Ellsworth and Donnelly, Shuler is an outspoken pro-lifer. The New York Times even reported that Shuler did not hesitate when asked if he could envision the Democratic Party adopting a pro-life platform.
**
Each of these winning Democratic candidates took a hard-line on illegal immigration, tacking right of President Bush on this issue.
"Illegal immigration costs American taxpayers approximately $70 billion a year in financial assistance for welfare benefits, health care, education, and domestic crime-fighting," Shuler said. "I do not support granting amnesty to people who have broken the law."
"I do not support amnesty,"said Donnelly. "I support more border agents, increased funding for surveillance and fencing that will prevent immigrants from illegally entering our country.
"We need to tighten our borders, enforce the laws we have, and punish employers who break them," said Ellsworth.
Despite the Democratic victory, Red State America is alive and well. The deep cultural divide that caused the Electoral College map to be painted in almost equal blocks of red and blue in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections has not disappeared...

Where is the West?
By Thomas Sowell
Thursday, November 9, 2006

European nations protesting Saddam Hussein's death sentence, as they protested against forcing secrets out of captured terrorists, should tell us all we need to know about the internal degeneration of western society, where so many confuse squeamishness with morality.

Two generations of being insulated from the reality of the international jungle, of not having to defend their own survival because they have been living under the protection of the American nuclear umbrella, have allowed too many Europeans to grow soft and indulge themselves in illusions about brutal realities and dangers.
**
The very means of their salvation have been demonized for decades in anti-nuclear movements and protesters calling themselves "anti-war." But there is a huge difference between being anti-war in words and being anti-war in deeds.
How many times, in its thousands of years of history, has Europe gone 60 years without a major war, as it has since World War II? That peace has been due to American nuclear weapons, which was all that could deter the Soviet Union's armies from marching right across Europe to the Atlantic Ocean.
Having overwhelming military force on your side, and letting your enemies know that you have the guts to use it, is being genuinely anti-war. Chamberlain's appeasement brought on World War II and Reagan's military buildup ended the Cold War.
**
Only after the Roman Empire began to lose its own internal cohesion, patriotism and fighting spirit over the centuries did it begin to succumb to its external enemies and finally collapse.
That seems to be where western civilization is heading today.
Internal cohesion? Not only does much of today's generation in western societies have a "do your own thing" attitude, defying rules and flouting authority are glorified and Balkanization through "multiculturalism" has become dogma.
Patriotism? Not only is patriotism disdained, the very basis for pride in one's country and culture is systematically undermined in our educational institutions at all levels.
The achievements of western civilization are buried in histories that portray every human sin found here as if they were peculiarities of the west...

The 'Real' Speaker Pelosi

The Democrats will soon control the House of Representatives and San Francisco Democrat Nancy Pelosi is set to become Speaker, one of the most powerful constituional offices in the United States.

Do you really know Nancy Pelosi?

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich does. He has warned a Democratic victory will turn over the House to "the San Francisco values of would-be Speaker Nancy Pelosi."
Just how dangerous, then, is the House Minority Leader from California to those who hold to traditional conservative values?
Pelosi is one of the most liberal members of the House, receiving a 95 percent "liberal quotient" from the Americans for Democratic Action based on her support for the liberal position in key votes.
She voted against cutting taxes by $70 million, renewing the Patriot Act, reducing the death tax, drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and making it a crime to desecrate the U.S. flag.
She supports gay marriage, and backed legislation allowing overseas military facilities to provide abortions for women in the military and military dependents.
The would-be Speaker also backed a measure calling for a timetable for withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, supported a bill requiring a 72-hour background check for persons buying weapons at gun shows Â? and opposed a bill strengthening the enforcement of immigration laws...
(read it all...)
**
(I will re-post the following from last week...)
If the Dems take over, we're doomed... reading this article I can't believe Nancy Pelosi is on the side of America. Everything she does seems to benefit her personally and directly, to the detriment of Americans, our quality of life and our country's sovereignty.

Nancy Pelosi's Sour Grapes
INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY
Posted 10/31/2006

Rep. Nancy Pelosi has her own "grapes of wrath" scenario going on.
Is her opposition to enhanced border security due to the fact that the House Democratic leader personally profits from a steady supply of cheap foreign labor?
If Democrats regain control of the House of Representatives, the San Francisco Democrat will not only be the first female speaker, but also the richest. The liberal Center for Responsive Politics puts her net worth as high as $55 million.
Pelosi's steadfast opposition to any attempts to enhance border security and stem the flow of illegal immigration into the U.S. (is) all the more interesting since she seems to be among those rich employers who financially benefit from a steady supply of cheap foreign labor.
There is no record of Pelosi's ever returning her portion of those "tax cuts for the rich" to the U.S. Treasury. Or any record, for that matter, of using her (dare we use the word?) windfall to give the workers at her Napa Valley vineyards a raise.
She led the opposition and voted against the Secure Fence Act of 2006 recently signed into law by President Bush to build a 700-mile fence along the U.S.-Mexican border.
She opposed the Real ID Act of 2005, a valuable anti-terror tool, while bragging that Democrats under her leadership "defeated Republican attempts to restrict the easily forged Matricula Consular card" issued by the Mexican government.
She voted against a bill to make employers such as herself financially liable for hospital costs if undocumented employees seek medical attention, preferring that either taxpayers foot the bill or that hospitals close under the burden, as many are doing throughout the Southwest.
In 2005 she voted against barring the issuance of driver's licenses to illegal aliens and against a requirement that businesses use an electronic system to verify whether new hires have the legal right to work in the U.S.
Nor has Pelosi been a fan of employer sanctions against the hiring of illegal aliens. In 2003, she accused immigration officers of conducting "terrorizing raids" on Wal-Mart stores that led to the arrest of more than 300 illegal aliens.

Rush Limbaugh: Why Republicans Lost

Republicans took a beating on Election Day because they abandoned their conservative principles and in the end stood for nothing, Rush Limbaugh says.
In his Wednesday broadcast, AmericaÂ?s top talker said that until Republicans begin asking themselves whatÂ?s wrong with themselves they are never going to fix their problems.
When things go wrong, Rush said, "you must look inward and ask first, Â?What did we do wrong? What could we have done better? What mistakes did we make?Â?
Commenting that although Republicans lost, "Conservatism did not lose, Republicanism lost last night. Republicanism, being a political party first, rather than an ideological movement, is what lost last night.Â?
The Democrats, he said "beat something last night with nothing. They advanced no agenda other than their usual anti-war position. They had no contract Â? they really never did get specific. Their message was one of Â?vote for us; the other guys have been in power too long.Â?Â?
Rush further admonished, "There was no dominating conservative message that came from the [Republican] top and filtered down throughout in this campaign.Â?
He added that if there was conservatism in the campaign, it was on the Democratic side: "There were conservative Democrats running for office in the House of Representatives and in a couple of Senate races won by Democrats yesterday.Â? He cited James Webb as an example.
He also said it was conservatism that won fairly big when it was tried, but it was Democrats who ran as conservatives and not their GOP rivals. He added that the Democratic leadership had gone out and recruited conservative candidates because they knew liberals could not win running against Republicans in red states.
Rush quoted Thomas Sowell as explaining that the latest example of election fraud is actually what the Democrats did Â? they nominated a bunch of moderate and conservative candidates for the express purpose of electing a far-left Democratic leadership.
"The Democrats could not have won the House, being liberals,Â? Rush said. "Liberalism didnÂ?t win anything yesterday; Republicanism lost. Conservatism was nowhere to be found except on the Democratic side.Â?
The root of the problem, Rush said, is that "our side hungers for ideological leadership and weÂ?re not getting it from the top. Conservatism was nowhere to be found in this campaign from the top. The Democrats beat something with nothing. They didnÂ?t have to take a stand on anything other than their usual anti-war positions. They had no clear agenda and they didnÂ?t dare offer one. Liberalism will still lose every time itÂ?s offered.Â?

Prop 2: A Lesson for Republicans
It would be hoove Republicans to consider the unpopularity of racial preferences.
By Henry Payne

After an otherwise grim election, conservatives can exult in the improbable, landslide win of Proposition 2 banning racial and gender preferences in Michigan. A pity the Republican party canÂ?t share in the celebration.
ThatÂ?s because Michigan Republicans found it more politically expedient to join Democrats and Big Business in opposition to Prop 2 than to fight for the principle of race neutrality in government admissions, hiring, and contracting.
