THE first thing one notices about 16-year-old Gul Zam is her eyes, pretty and dark yet as watchful as a hunted animal’s. But then the scarf covering her head shifts slightly, exposing a livid red scar on her neck. The hands that play nervously in her lap are ridged with pink burns that reach up her arms, across her chest and down her legs.
Three months ago Gul Zam poured petrol over her body and set herself alight. To her it was the only way out of a marriage so abusive that her husband Abdul had beaten her until her clothes were soaked in blood.
"I felt all other ways were blocked," she whispered. "My husband and his family treated me like a slave. But I could not go back to my family because of the shame that would bring. So I crawled into the yard, poured a can of petrol over me and lit a match."
Gul Zam’s husband and in-laws watched her burning and did nothing.

A BUSINESSMAN is facing a life sentence for stabbing his sister to death in front of his two young daughters in a so-called honour killing.
Azhar Nazir, 30, and his cousin, 17, used four knives to cut Samaira Nazir’s throat and repeatedly stab her after she fell in love with an asylum-seeker from what they saw as an unsuitable caste.
Miss Nazir, 25, had rejected suitors lined up to meet her in Pakistan and had been summoned to the family home in Southall, Middlesex.
The father, also called Azhar, Nazir and the youth launched the attack and at one point dragged her by her hair back into the property.
Miss Nazir, a businesswoman described as "strong-willed", was heard to shout at her mother, Irshad Begum: "You are not my mother any more."
She was then held down as a scarf was tied around her neck and her throat was cut in three places. Nazir's daughters, aged 2 and 4, were screaming and were splattered with blood. Police fear that they were ordered to watch as a warning to them. Neighbours called the police after hearing the screaming.

In a large-scale roundup the past week, Eritrean authorities have detained 150 Christians from at least five of the country’s outlawed churches.
Starting at 6 a.m. last Wednesday (October 25), security officers in the town of Mendefera began going from house to house, arresting local Christians from a list they compiled of known members of Pentecostal churches and the Orthodox renewal movement.
During the first day’s raids, a total of 38 men and 17 women were incarcerated at the military fort in Mendefera, 30 miles south of Asmara. Local sources confirmed to Compass that police authorities were subjecting the detained Christians to beatings and other physical mistreatment.

Today there are two ongoing developments in the world which carry with them all the necessary ingredients to bring down the western civilization as we know of it. The first of these developments is the Islamic resurgence, which, many devout Muslims believe will be the final showdown between Islam and the infidels. They firmly believe this cataclysmic clash of civilisation will result in a guaranteed victory for Islam. With great aplomb they will refer to the Qur'anic verses (such as 2:30, 6:165, 7:129, 27:62) which firmly declare that only the Muslims are the rightful inheritors of earth. Allah has assured the victory of Islam by expropriating and usurping the land of the infidels and hand them over to the Muslims (verses 13:41, 21:44, 28:58).The Islamic world is patiently waiting for this ultimate victory of Islam - no infidel should bear any doubt on this mindset of great majority of Islamic diehards.

In contrast to the above mindset of the Islamic world, the infidel world, by and large, is in deep slumber. Note the incredible apathy, ignorance, neglect and sheer carelessness of the infidels' state of mind. They are in the impression that the current Islamic terrorism will soon be a thing of the past, and the world will, once again, revert to the 'world order' which, for several centuries, they have taken for granted. These easy-going, "couldn't care less", gullible westerners still believe that Islam means peace.

The Europeans in particular has lost their sense of pride and has replaced it with a sense of guilt. They despise their history, values and the traditional family. An increasing number of women put off motherhood until late in life or even avoids it altogether, resulting in alarmingly dwindling birth rates. Christianity lost its influence in an increasingly atheistic society, leaving a spiritual and moral vacuum that is rapidly being filled by the influx of Islam.
Incoming Muslims perceive that the western societies are in a state of moral and social decay. Young westerners become easy prey for the Muslim predators, who waste no time to do what they do best: brainwashing those westerners and converting them into willing soldiers of Islam.

He's a disarmingly gentle and courteous man. But he's determined to tell a complacent North America what he knows about fundamentalist Muslim imperialism.

ALBANY -- A 16-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico was sentenced Tuesday to 33 years in state prison in the brutal knifepoint rape in December of a University at Albany student and two separate burglaries.
Felipe Dejesus-Flores (pictured) pleaded guilty previously to breaking into the young woman's home on Dec. 10, waking her from a sound sleep and then raping her.
He also admitted carrying out an earlier Aug. 5 burglary on Sherman Street in which he stole the kitchen knife he used to threaten his rape victim, prosecutors said.
In August, an Albany County grand jury handed up another
