In another of what are becoming commonplace prosecutions for thought crimes allegedly committed against the sensibility of followers of the "religion of peace," we find a 23 year-old student - Stanislav Shmulevich, a non Muslim - facing hate crime charges, two counts involving criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a violation of PL 145:00 [1][h], for putting library copies of the Quran in a toilet.

New York City has become the arena for this showdown with Islamists who are seeking to enforce aspects of shari'a - claiming special status for the Quran.
Besides the brazen intimidation by Muslims, several points make this case extremely troubling...
