Catholics take page from islamofascist playbook; Chain Migration Math; Oklahoma is O.K.!!; More Food Contamination from Communist China
What ever happened with separation of church and state? Looks like they have learned a thing or two from the islamofascists about blurring the line between God's law (church) and man's law (state).
I say if the Catholic Church plays politics for special interests that serve the invaders and criminals, then they should start paying taxes like the rest of us... And do what the islamofascists should do:
ADMIT YOU ARE NOT A RELIGION BUT A CORRUPT POLITICAL IDEOLOGY.

video: Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahony's Call for Illegal Alien Amnesty Not Supported by Church Teachings
Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahony is an outspoken advocate of amnesty, even marching with illegal aliens and their supporters. "We're here to try to find a just way for them to be recognized as individuals and to give them the opportunity to be out in the open making our country great," he said. But the cardinal's politics have angered some life-long Catholics, including former religion teacher Jerry Mazenko, who has two nuns and two priests in his family. He says Mahoney is ignoring the Catholic catechism, the church's official teachings on matters of faith. According to Mazenk, a lifelong Catholic, "What the cardinal does not say is that the church actually puts limits on immigration and actually imposes requirements on the immigrants themselves." The catechism approved by the past and present Pope states, "Political authorities may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions," and it says, "Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens." To underscore the divide, seven leading amnesty opponents in Congress have spoken out, four of them are Roman Catholic. Rep. Brian Bilbray (R-CA) said: "No matter how much you want to candy coat it, amnesty is not only wrong from the common sense point of view, it's immoral."

On Capitol Hill lawmakers have been meeting behind closed doors, trying to figure out what to do with the 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens living in the United States. But the debate is not only focusing on whether they should be put on a glide path to citizenship, but also whether that door should be opened to their extended family. It's called "chain migration". Legal immigrants to the United States who are now citizens are allowed to sponsor extended family to also become citizens. Last year, nearly 250,000 people came to the United States this way. That included over 63,000 adult siblings, 46,000 adult children, and over 122,000 parents. Current immigration reform proposals would extend that to include adult brothers and sisters, siblings, aunts and uncles and cousins. Based on current legal immigration trends, each new citizen could bring in as many as 273 relatives. The issue is a concern as lawmakers debate whether to give citizenship to 12 to 20 million illegal aliens. The White House has reportedly floated a proposal backed by Republicans that would stop giving citizenship based solely on family ties. Instead, immigration policy would be set based on applicants' skills. Democrats and other critics are lashing out. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee thinks such limits are "harsh".
[Our take: Let's do the math... Say in the next 10 years an amnesty results in only 100,000 new citizens annually. Under the Democrats' proposal to extend chain migration, this would qualify 273 million people to enter the United States in the next decade, each ultimately able to bring in more of their relatives. In our lifetime we could see the heritage, identity, traditions, culture, economy and political system of the United States completely obliterated. If you think government doesn't work now or that elected officials really don't represent your interests, just wait a few years for the results of amnesty to take hold. By then, it will be too late to complain. Who do you think would even listen? After all, you stayed silent while the decisions were being made.]

Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry has signed an immigration bill that is considered the toughest in the nation. “Illegal immigration is a very serious national security issue that must be addressed at the federal level,” he said in a statement. “States can take some actions on their own, but until the U.S. Congress enacts a comprehensive, national immigration policy, citizens will see little progress on this issue.” The bill, House Bill 1804, authored by Rep. Randy Terrill, R-Moore, and Sen. James Williamson, R-Tulsa, passed the House in its current form with an 84-14 vote. It had passed the Senate with a 41-6 vote. The immigration measure will, among other things, require public employers to verify the residency status of new employees; require local and state law enforcement agencies to detain illegal immigrants; require anyone seeking state identification to prove residency or citizenship; and terminate government subsidies like health care and welfare for illegal immigrants except in certain emergency and humanitarian public services. The majority of the bill goes into law Nov. 1, 2007, with some portions dealing with private employers phasing in July 1, 2008.
[Our take: This story quotes Mauro Yanez, a permanent U.S. resident originally from Venezuela, who said the bill is “evil and immoral.” He is fearful that he and all other dark-skinned people in Oklahoma will be racially profiled by law enforcement. “This gives the message to the United States that the Hispanics are not welcome, whether residents or non-residents,” Yanez said. Message to Yanez: American citizens want their laws enforced, just like the citizens of Venezuela want their laws enforced. Hiding behind skin color to excuse illegal immigration is what's evil and immoral.]

The Food and Drug Administration with alarming news... The same toxic chemical from communist China that may have killed thousands of pets in this country has entered our human food chain in this country. The FDA says farmed fish also fed food that contained the deadly chemical melamine. Fish meal imported from Canada was made with tainted Chinese wheat flour. In recent days, federal officials have also found contaminated feed had been given to millions of chickens and thousands of pigs in the United States. Federal health officials, the FDA, USDA, and Customs and Border Protection, are testing large samples of any kind of gluten from China. Chinese exporters purposely contaminated the gluten used for the animal feed with melamine in an attempt to boost its protein content and raise its price. Michael Taylor of Resources for the Future said: "The news stories coming out of China about practices around melamine certainly are disturbing, but no amount of inspection will make up for bad practices in the exporting countries."
