Al Jazeera Airing in USA

"But if you look at it, it looks like BBC. I think it's more mainstream and more objective than CNN." - Tim Nulty, director of Burlington Telecom

This paper out of Burlington VT buries it's shame and dhimmitude beneath a story that is a pathetic and transparent attempt to whitewash the inherent intolerance of Islam and its followers. They denounce other peoples vandalism and terrorism, BUT NEVER THEIR OWN.
NOW a cable station is OFFERING AL JAZEERA HERE IN AMERICA.
WE MUST STOP THIS ISLAMIFICATION NOW.

Islamic groups condemn vandalism
The Boston chapter of the Muslim American Society and about a dozen local Islamic organizations have condemned the vandalism at Temple Shalom in Milton last weekend in which two swastikas were drawn on the temple. "We are very aware of how tough it can be to feel hatred directed in this way," said Bilal Kaleem , executive director of the Muslim American Society's Boston chapter. "The power of symbols can be very strong and very oppressive, and a grotesque symbol like this is a disgusting and even frightening thing to see." The Islamic Society of Boston, Islamic Council of New England, Islamic Society at Boston University, the Mosque for the Praising of Allah in Roxbury, and Masjid Al-Quran in Dorchester are among those denouncing the desecration. Some plan to attend a vigil at the temple at 7 tonight, Kaleem said.

BURLINGTON, Vt.
City's cable company offers Al-Jazeera
A cable company is offering the Al-Jazeera network in its cable package, one of only a few in the nation to do so. Burlington Telecom, a city-owned cable company that serves 1,200 households in Vermont's largest city, began offering the Arab-operated network about six months ago. "We were certainly squeamish about it at first, given its reputation in the United States," said Tim Nulty, director of Burlington Telecom. "But if you look at it, it looks like BBC. I think it's more mainstream and more objective than CNN." (AP)

HOW DARE THEY INVITE THE ENEMY - OUR SWORN ENEMY - INTO OUR COUNTRY, INTO OUR HOMES??? AND ASK CABLE PRESCRIBERS TO PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE AS WELL??
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. DISGUSTING. THIS HAS TO BE STOPPED.

Making comments is a start, but the thing that will really speak volumes is subscribers cancelling.

A few weeks ago on C-Span, I watched as spokesmen for Aljazeera soft-peddled their station to a bunch of high-school kids. No one mentioned the Middle East, Arabs or Islam. The kids were told they'd get to see more news out of Canada and Mexico than any other US station was currently airing. So on the strength of this, they urged the kids to start calling and writing their cable providers and requesting Aljazeera.

I just sent a "scathing" e-mail to the cable company in Vermont who is offering the Aljazeera programming, and let me tell you I held nothing back! I told them that I hope all of their subscribers cancel their service, that their company goes bankrupt, and that in my opinion they should be RUN out of this country along with the illegal Mexicans, the radical Muslims and any other bottom feeding scum who is not loyal to this country!

have you ever watched AJI? it's by far the best news programming going. saddle up to fox and cnn if you like, but i think your a bit confused. are you basing this critique on arab al jazeera? do you speak arabic? i don't, but i've been watching the english language station on-line for the last 5-6 months and it's pretty great stuff (i'm in canada and our government thus far won't allow the "infiltration" of AJI into the country, i'm ashamed to say). i've got nothing to do with the station, but i'm a big fan. and i think that if you bothered to watch it, you'd agree with the gent from VT who's broadcasting it.
