The ICE Most Wanted Criminal Aliens list, first unveiled on May 14, 2003, features foreign nationals from around the globe who have been convicted of committing serious crimes in the United States and served their time. Each of these criminal aliens have been issued orders of removal, commonly referred to as deportation orders, but have eluded law enforcement, thereby posing a continuing threat to public safety.

“BEST” is an U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ICE-lead national initiative created along the border a year ago.
Since it was formed in October, the El Paso “BEST” team has identified several alien and narcotic smuggling organizations with ties to violent prison and street gangs on both sides of the border. Its members have arrested and prosecuted 52 individuals, obtained nine federal indictments, convicted 21 people, seized 29 vehicles, two weapons and more than $44,000 in cash.
