The former Chris Jackson, now convert to Islam Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, who was once suspended by the NBA for refusing to stand for the National Anthem before a game in violation of league policy, is now an imam. At the time, Jackson/Rauf had this to say about America:
…the United States flag is a “symbol of oppression, of tyranny. This country has a long history of that,” he said. “I don’t think you can argue the facts. You can’t be for God and for oppression. It’s clear in the Koran, Islam is the only way. I don’t criticize those who stand, so don’t criticize me for sitting. I won’t waver from my decision.”
Mahmoud has graduated from criticizing his country and flag to working with a radical, jihad preaching imam and 9-11 truther to teach Muslim youth in America those same values.

At an October 31, 2001 presentation at the National Press Club (an event that also featured New Black Panther Party leader Malik Zulu Shabazz), Musa declared:
“… this way of life known as Islam will dominate all other ways of life … Allah says that Islam will rise to its proper position in the world whether these [Western] mushricks … get together, still Islam will reign supreme whether they like it or not.”
