NEW YORK – The makers of a "mock-mentary" film premiering this month say their purpose is to "strip bare" the 44th president and his intentions for America.
Mirroring President Obama's career, "O.B.A.M. Nude," which stands for "Occidental Births a Monster," tells the satirical tale of a freshman at Occidental College in Los Angeles who makes a deal with the devil. In exchange, the main character, O.B.A.M., gets admitted to Columbia University, becomes a community organizer in Chicago, attends Harvard Law School and rises to the presidency of the United States.
Andrew Gause, co-author, co-producer and a principal actor, told WND the idea for the film began developing during the 2008 presidential campaign when the town of Hawthorne, N.J., told him he had to remove a "Ron Paul for President" sign from his lawn.
Kenneth Del Vecchio, a filmmaker and Gause's attorney, came up with the idea that the two should make a movie.
"It was Kenny's idea to call the movie 'O.B.A.M. Nude' because we wanted to strip the man bare," Gause explained.
"We wanted a title that stands out," Del Vecchio told WND in a telephone interview. "We wanted to expose Obama as man who is looking to turn our country in a socialist direction. My greatest concern about our president is that he wants government to control people's lives."
The New York Post published the trailer for the film, which premieres May 30 at the Hoboken International Film Festival in New Jersey.
