From Anthrax to Zawahiri, searching for answers
The (present-day) issues at the center of confusion and controversy that transcend political parties are numerous. Possibilities that were once discussed only among the seemingly reality challenged have now emerged as legitimate possibilities and even explanations of policies and actions that otherwise lack any obvious sense. In many instances, things that were considered as reasonable possibilities only to the conspiracy-minded have become more readily accepted in the mainstream.
In some cases, they have become the only explanation.

I am relieved. I thought I had already been executed for political incorrectness and gone to hell. I cannot count the times I have observed events which are happening around us almost daily which make no sense. Not protecting our borders, a large part of our government trying to LOSE a war, National traditions being trampled as if they are crimes, (American) becoming a dirty word in schools, universities and the media (and this in America).
Your article grants me small relief in afirming that I am not alone in thinking there must be a reason for our country being neutered. I only wish I could awaken to find myself feeling foolish for thinking a bad dream was reality...but,alas,the bad dream IS reality.
