Obama Panics: Push to Stop Stimulus Monster is Working
Obama has managed to get the charges dropped against the mastermind of the USS Cole bombing, but he’s finished talking to U.S. citizens about how our money is wasted?

Here’s a good rule of thumb: As a politician’s dire rhetoric about how much danger you’re in if you don’t do exactly as they say increases, the amount of danger you’re actually in decreases exponentially. This is one of those times, and it looks like plenty of people understand that.
Rasmussen reports the following, and it’s an important bit of information:
Support for the economic recovery plan working its way through Congress has fallen again this week. For the first time, a plurality of voters nationwide oppose the $800-billion-plus plan.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 37% favor the legislation, 43% are opposed, and 20% are not sure.
Two weeks ago, 45% supported the plan. Last week, 42% supported it.
Opposition has grown from 34% two weeks ago to 39% last week and 43% today.
Keep up the heat on your politicians, be they Democrats or Republicans.
Politicians are whores to numbers. If your local member of Congress is a liberal and you’re pretty sure he or she will follow Obama over any particular cliff no matter what, think again. They have to get re-elected to keep filling their snouts, and when support for an issue is dropping like a rock like it is for the “stimulus package,” politicians will take notice.
The above numbers mean that even many Democrats are horrified by this monster hunk of pork that will further clog our financial arteries for decades.

Obama is sensing the sinking ship, because he’s ratcheting up the fear-mongering and has said “The time for talk is over.” Since when does a liberal cut off dialog? Obama wants to “unclench the fist” of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad by sitting down to talk to the man who has said he wants to wipe Israel and the U.S. off the map, and Obama has managed to get the charges dropped against the mastermind of the USS Cole bombing, but he’s finished talking to U.S. citizens about how our money is wasted?
Obama hasn’t even been in office very long, and already I’m getting the impression that the Hopemobile is careening out of control.
The real reason liberals are panicking has nothing to do with your well-being. The death of this stimulus package is the death of their latest huge-government dream — at least for a little while. News has gotten out about what this “plan” is really about, and liberal politicians’ worst nightmare is almost fully upon them: an informed electorate (but file those 20% who are “unsure” under “P” for “Part of the problem”).
