87% OF MEXICANS SUCCUMB TO CORRUPTION

In Mexico there is an 87% probability that a Mexican will resolve a problem, or benefit as recipient, through the use of a bribe.
According to the data from "Indice de Corrupcion y Buen Gobierno elaborado por Transparencia Mexicana" children are not safe from this practice, since 15% of children from age 10 to 15 years old admit to have practiced a corrupt action; this number rises to 57% for people older than 30.
Angelica, an employee of a Public Office said; "I think that corruption can be eradicated. It's impacting everything, all levels, Family, Individual and National. It's one of the factors that have not let Mexico develop".
During the seminar called "Ethics in public administration, fight against corruption", organized by the "Secretary of Public Function", corruption is not exclusive to the political sector, police or bureaucrats, but it is a practice that is part of the cultural habits of the Mexican.
German Martinez Cazares, Secretary of Public Function said: "Organized crime has aggravated cases of "hyper-corruption" in developing countries; this is what has been introduced to a culture permissive of the violation of laws in which bribery and extortion are tolerated practices".
Judge Baltazar Garzon, recognized for fighting groups that have made corruption their life style, considers that Government can not fight this habit without the support of society; neither, without an intelligent strategy that has long term results.
