Toddler hospitalized with burns from acid on playground slide
A 2-year-old Maryland boy suffered severe burns when he went down a slide that had been doused with industrial-strength drain cleaner, according to reports.
"We found this liquid on everything - the jungle gym, the monkey bars - everything," a Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman told the Baltimore Sun. "Having one child hurt is one too many, but it's amazing - and we're so thankful - that more children weren't hurt."

(CBS 42) BALTIMORE CBS 42 News reported Saturday on a new case similar to one from earlier this week in Leander -- where someone dumped acid on a playground and injured a two-year-old.The latest occurrence was in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday and was strikingly similar to what happened in Austin.Authorities say the Maryland child -- also a two year old -- has third-degree burns on his legs. Authorities say he fell into Sulphuric Acid that someone had dumped on a Baltimore playground.

The people responsible for dumping muriatic acid all over a Leander park will soon face charges. Thursday night, a two-year-old girl suffered acid burns at a park in the 200 block of Sunny Brook in Leander.
