ABSURDITY was the point of this previous post:
Some readers seem to have missed the subtlety of this post (http://jillosophy.blogspot.com/search?q=confucious) in response to the VT Shooter as being described as "Asian". My point being that the term is too general, and everyone knows it is employed by those who cringe at the thought of saying the plain truth.
Someone says "Asian" now and you wonder: Asian like the Dali Lama, or Asian like THESE GUYS:
So the term "Asian" now is detrimental to all who hail from that continent - because the Muslims want you to be afraid to say "Muslim".
See, you say "massacre" and everyone thinks "Islam".
You say "Asian gunman" and no one thinks "Buddhist!"
No one thinks South Korean. No one thinks "Japanese".
No one thinks Confucious sponsored or counselled violence...
but there are PLENTY (227 million?) of (Asian?) people around the world who believe some asshole named Mohammed (may his soul roast in hell for all eternity) did 1,500 years ago.
Duh.

Updated: Allah - or maybe Confucious - must be SO proud!
Perhaps I am being premature. After all, according to eyewitness descriptions, he's just plain Asian. I guess I could be wrong.
So maybe he's from Tibet.
Or Japan. Or Russia. Or China.
